Guess who said he would sing at our wedding?

Instead of having a romantic dinner for two last February 14, Nico & I ended up having a foodfest for about 13 people! David invited my family for dinner, and who was I to turn him down? Aba, I was the only one left in the family who hasn't met him! The time has come! hahaha :)

Shaking things up once again
2006 was the year that I decided to finally move to the states. For the most part, it was such an easy transition for me. I got a good job, I lived with really great family friends, I continued to have stong support back home with my family and friends, met a couple of great people, got to visit my bitch El in San Fran & vice versa, and Nico even came to visit me for a couple of months (which was super duper fun btw ;p). I learned a lot of things during that time, and I can say that I became an independent person. Sure, it may seem mababaw, but for a girl who almost always had help given to her, doing my own laundry, washing the dishes, cleaning the bathroom, making my own bed etc etc was such a feat for me. I remember my mom even calling just to ask if I finally knew how to do my laundry! I replied with a "siyempre expert na ako!".. because I was that kind of laundry person who separates clothes not only between colored and white stuff, but also white, dark colored, light colored, denim & towels. hahaha.. :) I also took pride in the fact that I became financially independent.. Even if the neverending bills were getting a bit annoying (rav4, insurance, cellphone, credit card etc etc.), I still get a giddy everytime I mark them paid. No more daddy to reimburse me hahaha ;p
When Nico was here, we went to just about anywhere we desired, feeling tuloy namin ang tanda na namin.. kasi it was just the 2 of us. When we/i visted el in san fran & vice versa.. ang galing lang ng feeling, like we were at this point in our lives na, we're young, and we're ready to conquer the world! Hahaha.. I felt this everytime nico & I were in the car, or it was me & el driving to some place. Feeling independent lang talaga! El & I even had plans of moving in together, I WAS really gonna move to san fran in April.. as in my mom gave me the okay already.. but then 2007 had other plans for me.
Because 2007 was the year that I moved back to Pinas.
WHAT!?!?!? hahaha.. i know!! Crazy crazy indeed! But a job opportunity this good is not easy to pass up, so I packed all my stuff yet again in boxes, and flew the 2nd of January back to the land of kainitan and traffic.. hehehe. I got here just barely a week ago (4th), but timing talaga I got to spend His birthday with Him :)
I was definitely excited when this proposal was given to me, who wouldn't go for it diba? Be with my boy, my family, my friends again.. But I also felt sad 'coz I was gonna miss LA so much. I mean, even before I left the states, namimiss ko na siya. I would also miss my newfound family & friends, my "independence", how everything seems "stress free", the plans El and I made (shout out to you.. idol talaga kita! Check her multiply, I'm her first house guest woohoo!! :) ), the plans Nico & I had... etc etc.. But don't get me wrong, I am happy to be back. It's just that siyempre, LA became my home too already.. It is always hard to leave your home.
So enough babbling already, I'll be here between 2-3 years.. and then flying back there again. So for now, I'll see you guys around :)

In my birthday suit..
Not THAT kind of birthday suit! haha :)
Yes, oh yes, I am now officially 23.
Much love to all who greeted me, both today and yesterday (philippine time), thru txt, phone calls, ym, friendster, multiply, email.. eventhough I am away from home, parang hindi rin ako malayo kasi naalala niyo pa rin ako. I truly feel blessed.. I love you all! :)
Today was good, my Korean friend, Christine, treated me and Cindy, my Chinese friend, for lunch at Olive Garden. Yummy.. i love these two :)
Dinner was good too.. spent it with my family # 2 a.k.a. my family here hahaha. Sayang, wasn't able to take a pic though.. ;p
I also got a very, very nice surprise while I was working. Around 10am, an officemate of mine called me to let me know that someone was waiting for me at the front desk. She had a funny look on her face, so i was like, okay, whatever. haha.
So lo and behold, this was who, or rather, what, was waiting for me. :)
Ain't my boy the sweetest? :)
Galing mo babe, walang mintis, all occassions you have flowers for me. Thank you :)

I had an amazing thanksgiving weekend..
Because of these two!! :)
They drove all the way from San Fran, for 6 long hours mind you, just to be with me.. ME! :) yey! :)
What else is LA known for, hindi ba't Hollywood and Rodeo Drive? So that was where we went.. hehe. An hour was spent walking around Hollywood, checking out Mann's Chinese Theatre, Kodak Theatre & Walk Of Fame, eating a whole lot of Beard Papa creampuffs (yummmy), watching street performers, and being kissed on the hand by a random stranger (well, that would be my hand that was kissed hahaha).
And then we went to Rodeo Drive, where of course, given my luck with celebrity encounters, we saw nada stars. But it was still all good, coz we got the goodies we came for hihihi ;p
Ended the night with piping hot and spicy tofu soup at Tofu Village. Oh my, just thinking about it makes me huuungry!
Woke up way early the next day because we went to my new shopping mecca in LA.. but it is my secret, and I will only tell you where it is if you come visit me here. So there! Haha :)
Poor Tom, he had to follow me and Eleanor for 2 hours, but the sausage wrapped in bacon made it all worth it, right? haha.. :) So we went to Six Flags right after and screamed ourselves silly with all the rides, but not without over-stuffing ourselves first with El's favorite Panda Express haha. Kakapagod, just goes to show how un-fit I already am, I got tired just from walking around the park! how pathetic is that?? But because they love me, they didn't walk too fast.. ;p We then had dinner at Pho, sarap! we so love vietnamese noodles! :)
This visit was too short, as they left early morning the next day! Bitin grabe, i miss you guys so much! But super duper thank you for making my First thanksgiving rock! Kisses to you both! Sana lang next time, may date na rin ako diba? Calling Nico! Hehe.. mwahs to you too! :)
